What happens is the MPAA tracks the IP address themselves. They download the torrents, and look at the list of IPs downloading it. Then they mix and match and send a message to the ISP that the IP address belongs to.

FSS, just spoof your MAC and bounce it off the neighbors or a public WiFi. Damn Liberals always clamping down on us!
