Got on trouble with my ISP. They gave me a first strike. Even told me what movie I downloaded.

After 3 strikes, they're going to deny me service.

I have Cox, by the way, and I live in Las Vegas.

I'm looking for a new ISP right now, a mom and pop company that doesn't give a shit about what you do online.

Torrents.

What happens is the MPAA tracks the IP address themselves. They download the torrents, and look at the list of IPs downloading it. Then they mix and match and send a message to the ISP that the IP address belongs to.

FSS, just spoof your MAC and bounce it off the neighbors or a public WiFi. Damn Liberals always clamping down on us!
