Yeah I played until like 4:30 AM. Even the early missions are really engrossing. I like the subway system and the targeting is really easy to get around even though I only had to shot a couple of jamaicans. I was supposed to play basketball tonight but I think I'm going to punk out and just play after I get home from work.

How so, one of the most innovative franchises is improved in every single way pretty much? Plus 16 player online amongst liberty city with various gameplay modes. I say this as unsarcastically as possible, what would've you have wanted added, realistically that is?

I'm like 19 hours in already, it's fucking sick, trust me. Multiplayer is fun as shit, just a few pointers, don't always cruise in cars unless your just trying to get somewhere, your easy targets. Go on foot, roll around, pick up an automatic rifle, AK or M14, whatever they are.. Creep around on the ground in alleys, up on roofs and what not. You'd be surprised what shit you can climb, always try using X to jump up.

Cops and Robbers is fun as shit too.

Oh yeah, and Rocket Launcher is beast, just shoot at the ground and you get sick kills, totally toasts people in cars in one hit as well.

Didn't play through too much of the story yesterday. Went around and stole all 10 vehicles for Brucie. Made a good chunk of change. You get a G for each vehicle.
Did some drug deals for lil Jacob.
I'm at about 26% of the game complete. Just finished the mission where the apt gets burned down.

I'm starting to like the game a lil bit more...but some of it still feels like the same boring formula as the other GTAs, which puts me to sleep.

multi player is fun but finding the weapons are a bitch. Kind of sucked though because i was doing team death match and everyone on my team was speaking spanish so i didnt know what the hell they were talking about...ill try it again tonight and hopefully i get some peeps that can speak english on my team haha.

the story is hilarious and everything but i think i find a lot more fun in the multiplayer. team deathmatch is pretty kool, but i would prefer if it able to be set at 2 teams only. i think the fact that there are 3-4 teams most of the time takes away from the idea of a team deathmatch(or sharpshooter). if one team sucks well then the 2-3 other are just gonna end up killing the shit outta the sucky team and it ends up on who gets luck of the spawn.

just got it. havent played any missions yet, just drove and ran around and killed people for awhile. twas fun.

yo i fucking love team deathmatch now, im a mad sneaky mofo(even says so on my hat). i always be cruisin thru crouched and the other team rarely sees me and i can flank them or walk up and knife them at times. we were playin rockets and i just kept runnin up and slicin jokas up.

So I'll add some more thoughts, story is pretty good and engaging, the world is very immersive, BUT the controls still fucking blow ultra hard. I thought I would be able to get over them but they do not allow me to unleash the ultra badassery mastery of GTA skillzzz that I have honed over playing GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas (even though I stopped playing SA because it was like playing a really shitty RPG). The characters are really awesome in GTA 4 though, which makes the side missions not as shitty as they probably could be. I banged that chick Michelle which was pretty cool and also got like three lap dances which featured some pretty nasty dancing. Very cool and immersive though.

About 50% done. Just opened up the final island. Flying in a helicopter is beautiful (looks amazing on a 50in plasma)

The races are terrible and very pointless. If you have a decent car they can't even come close to keeping up with you. The bank heist mission was kinda cool, definately needed more missions like this one.

And the controls have really been pissing me off as well and the drive from point A to point B type mission is SO FUCKIN PLAYED OUT, I almost can't take it anymore.

I have only thrown one strike I think and several spares, but getting three strikes in a row is easier in real life than on this damn thing.
