-The Story is 25-30 hours on shooting straight through, playing all the missions possible will average in at 60
-Every mission is connected and relevant to the story now, this is for the people that played GTA3 and on, most missions were random people you don't know sending you on a crazy task, now the missions are relevant to the unveiling of the convoluted story.
-Story, without spoiling they used a story telling technique that I enjoy in most of my favorite books, the main character Niko is a totally normal (and nice) guy he acts as the voice of reason while every character you meet is totally bat shit crazy and you go through some crazy shit.
-Better combat/car control/weapon mechanics/hand to hand fighting, the shooting is a blend of old GTA third person with Rainbow six vegas cover controls (most compared to in reviews) And you can take cover behind literally any surface so you can drive a car into an alley of gansters slide it and jump out and use it for cover while you fight.
-Multiplayer, there are tons of game modes and none of them split off the city, every multiplayer type gives you full access to the entire city and lets you do whatever you want (IE in race mode instead of doing the actual race you can park a bus in peoples way and grief them all, or hop on someones car roof and if you can stay on you'll will the race if they get first).
Basically from what I've dug up, when I was playing Vice city or San Andreas when I was playing I'd think to myself "Wouldn't it be cool if this game did that" this game does all that, has a great story, and fantastic multiplayer.
So i'll be getting it at midnight I hope you all play it with me.
