Cloned Meat Allowed on Shelves

The FDA has lifted the ban on selling meat and dairy from cloned animals.

Sign a petition to major grocery stores demanding they
refuse to sell such products!

Today, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) lifted a ban on
selling meat and dairy products coming from cloned animals.

Tell grocers you aren't buying it! Tell them you'll stop
shopping at stores that can't promise not to sell such products.

The FDA has buckled to big biotech and agro-business despite
more than 150,000 public comments opposing the lifting of the ban, and
amendments to the federal Farm Bill and Omnibus Appropriations Bill calling for
more research before lifting the ban.

Genetically speaking, you meat eaters could eat burgers from
the same cow for years.

Don't eat meat? We still think this issue will interest you,
given the risks we take by introducing cloned animals into our food system and
ecosystem.

It is too late to stop the FDA from permitting the sale of food
from cloned animals, and there are no labeling requirements either, which is
why we need to make grocery stores pay a price for choosing to sell it.

The ship on food in this country sailed a long time ago. The food in the US tastes nothing like the food in Asia and Europe. I don't know how to describe it, but food in the US feels like it's denser than foods abroad.

additives to make you full quicker so they produce less and make the same profit

Can anyone quote some solid research that concludes that eating meat from cloned animals is actually bad for you?
I've heard many cries of outrage over things, simply because they had to do with cloning or other Things Man Was Not Meant To Do and personally, I just don't buy that. So hard evidence please (or at least very suggestive circumstancial evidence).

That's the thing we don't have any long term testing. We need to know what happens before we just throw it out on the shelves.

Regular beef is just as bad. Hormones and all that shit, plus its hard to digest so it rots in your stomach and gut.

There is no evidence eating cloned meat is bad for you. Its identical to the original animal in every way. Its just more people who dont believe in cloning because they feel their fake god should be the only one allowed to create a being.

Edit: Also i know it isnt everyone who just has a religious bias thats against cloning but it is a huge majority of people who are.

There is an astounding number of things out there that haven't undergone longterm tests. Besides, how would you do longterm tests on a product like this if it wasn't on the shelves?

I hope they can genetically modify chickens to not have bones or souls so I can enjoy the food.

My stupid vegetarian buddy keeps saying he won't eat anything with a soul.

I want to eat his soul.

if you morons are looking for protein, eat fish and seafood. It is a lot healthier for you than meat and the omega acids in them are great for your health.

and that bullshit about mercury isnt true. just don't eat large fish (swordfish, shark, etc) or any fish with long lifespans b/c those contain the most mercury.

plus studies have shown that coastal people (those that eat the most fish) are not harmed in any way by the mercury.

overall, beef is bad for you. eat it sparingly or not at all.
