kermitthefrayer 04-17-2008, 02:42 PM WAR VOLDO!
ninjashoes 04-17-2008, 04:11 PM Critical Finisher
Soulcalibur IV will feature an all-new Critical Finisher system. This time there will be another gauge under the characters' Health Meter, known as the Soul Gauge. This meter will fill up when attacking and decrease when guarding. When the meter is empty, the opponent can do a strike that breaks off a part from the character's armor, altering their appearance and making them weaker for the remainder of the match. There are also three green boxes below the gauges, reflecting the state of the characters armor: high, mid, or low.
If the character manages to empty out the opponent's Soul Gauge again, they will get a short chance to perform a powerful Critical Finisher, which will kill the opponent instantly. Each character has their own personal Critical Finisher. Namco says that they developed the Soul Gauge to decrease the benefits from constant guarding, thus giving the game a faster tempo. [14] It subsequently would make the matches more offensive, as well.
hmm....this coming out for all the next gen systems?? I loved the one on gamecube but thats the only one i ever played.
WAR VOLDO!

MildernhardPark 04-18-2008, 11:36 AM Nah.. but I'm A 2d Nuthugger..

You just named the best idea for a video game.

They better test this one. I'm hoping that they'll balance the game now as compared to SC3
ninjashoes 04-18-2008, 10:20 PM You just named the best idea for a video game.
well I got the idea from masters of teras kasi, only thing is that it could have been done better, if it was done soul caliber style it would be the best game ever

IMAMEX 04-18-2008, 11:45 PM yeah the idea was cool but the playable characters left a lot to be desired. Imagine something like that in HD? fucking pwn

the Wii version of Star Wars: Force Unleashed is going to have a multiplayer battle mode similar to what you're asking for. I think most of the more prominent Jedis are in there (like Luke, Obi Wan, Mace Windu, Yoda, etc. etc...possibly Quai Gon too) as well as all the Sith Lords from the movies.
masters of teras kasi was terrible. i almost punched my friend in the face when i got it cause he "recommended" it.
as for soul calibur 4, not terribly interested. never been a fan of 3d fighters. give me marvel vs capcom any day of the week.
Dert McGert 04-19-2008, 06:37 AM They are releasing the original for Xbox Live Arcade. I can't wait for that.

Nasty Nate 04-19-2008, 02:41 PM i rape with talem.
Rynoplasty 04-19-2008, 10:26 PM I love Soul Caliubur, I will get this and the downloadable version of the original. Probably my favorite fighting games.
IMAMEX 04-21-2008, 06:17 PM Dude check out what I just read up:
Also, Darth Vader and Yoda, characters from the Star Wars universe, are confirmed to be playable guest characters but exclusive to different platforms. Vader will be on the PS3 and Yoda will be on the Xbox 360, however it was stated in issue 179 of GameInformer magazine that "Namco was nice enough to concede that the second characters may be available for download on the respective consoles at a later date."
Rynoplasty 04-21-2008, 08:05 PM Dude check out what I just read up:
Yeah I heard that before, I am pissed off that they are going to have only one per system, making me have to choose when I would have just got the 360 version. I probably still will because of achievements, plus you know Yoda will pwn.

yeah dude achievments pwn hardcore. Plus you get yoda speak instead of that breathy douchebag.
ninjashoes 04-22-2008, 08:34 AM fuck both yoda and vader I wanna be luke
Dert McGert 04-24-2008, 08:26 AM Namco Bandai revealed recently the contents of the special edition for Soul Calibur IV. The bundle will come packaged in a collectible tin with a t-shirt featuring Yoda and Siegfried (size XL... apparently they assume gamers are all fatties), as well as an art book and something they are calling a "Tournament Kit" which it turns out is just a small card with a blank tournament bracket on it. How exciting.
Considering the $80 price tag and gigantic t-shirt, I'm guessing this will be a pass for most people. Art books are always cool, so if you think an art book and tin are worth the extra $20, be my guest.

Special edition.
Trolly 04-24-2008, 06:27 PM Definitely not getting old for me, probably the 2nd most complex fighter out there and now with online play.
IMAMEX 04-24-2008, 06:48 PM Special edition.
