View Full Version : bret the hitman hart talks about kurt angle
Resin 04-14-2008, 06:29 AM i will cut NS.net on my chest if bret hart comes back into the wwe i know this isn't supposed to be here but fuck you.
Bret Hart was recently interviewed by The Sun and had some surprising things to say about the possibility of working with World Wrestling Entertainment again in the future. It's a great interview - you can read the entire thing at this link.
When asked about his taped segment on WWE RAW for "Vince McMahon Appreciation Night" a while back, Bret said, "I guess I wanted to show that I could bury the hatchet, that I could have some fun with it. I think at the time I was trying to get permission from the WWE for some pictures to use in my book. I thought that if I didn’t do it or if I don’t show that I’m not going to co-operate I might not get them. I thought I could have some fun with it and not take it too seriously. I was in a good place, I’ve got my life here in Hawaii."
On the possibility of returning to WWE TV again, Bret said, "I always tell them they can always ask. There’s no harm in asking. If I thought I could have fun with it, my whole attitude is ‘can I have fun with it’, you know?"
Bret says there are a number of active wrestlers today that he wishes he could have worked with. "I really like Kurt Angle. He’s the kind of guy I really wish I could have worked with. I would have loved to have worked with Rey Mysterio, would have loved to work with Big Show." Bret also praised his nephew D.H. Smith and said Kenny Dykstra has a ton of potential and reminded him of a young Steve Austin.
The Hitman also said that the WrestleMania 13 climax of his legendary feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin was a defining moment in both men’s careers. "We were both great storytellers, telling the story so well. You can look at the emotion, the physical reality of that match. I always compare wrestling to figure skating, you pick each other up, throw each other around. Steve Austin and I just worked really well together, really complimented one another."

YouFrgotPoland 04-14-2008, 06:50 AM This has nothing to do with MMA...
Resin 04-14-2008, 06:56 AM Polands just pissed because Bret Hart could legit-ably put him in a sharpshooter.

kronker 04-16-2008, 11:48 PM Its funny watching Vince try to walk back through the hallway because he's all stiff legged from getting hammered by Hart. FUCK YEAH HITMAN!!!!
He didn't have any anti-boss gimmick like Stone Cold. He was the one actually delivering the goods via a nice right hand off skull.

Theres at least 5 people in that ring that are dead now.
White Snake 04-21-2008, 01:30 AM Bret Hart is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.
Vastardikai 04-21-2008, 06:42 AM To anyone who thinks they could out-wrestle Bret:
He was trained by the family, as well as in the New Japan Dojo (IIRC, I know he worked in Japan in the Junior Division). You have to be a badass to survive both.
Bret was always one of my favorites. I even had a pair of the shades in my younger days. He was given a run with the WWF title during the Steroid scandal. He proved that he could work the matches that draw the fans in (Summerslams '91 & '92 are huge examples). He wasn't the roided-up monster that Hogan was, and he didn't have to be. As a fighting Champion (that was the core of his first WWF Title run), he got over. He brought a level of credility to that belt that it didn't have since... I want to say when Bob Backlund held it for 8 years.
If there was a perfect world, Bret would be remembered not for one night in Montreal, but for the years he dedicated to his craft. He truly is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.
