I just played, I don't think theres that many secrets. The ending is pretty much the same no matter what you do but the path can be alot different.

i can give some tips.

dont buy any new weapons.
the shit u pick up will be way better.

Yeah fuck buying weapons till the spectre gear is availabe, and even then you can pick up better stuff if the spectre gear isn't high level.

I shouldnt say theres no secrets actually theres a ton of side missions I didnt even do. While it was a 9/10 game I felt somewhat dissapointed they didnt give you an alternate ending for completing the game 100%. That would have motivated me to do non story related side missions.

i read on gamfaqs.com if you have 1,000,000 in your pocket you can buy specter grade weapons and armor

Oh yeah and make sure you do the side mission on the moon if you haven't already Donking, it gives you the specialization class.

oh hell yea i just landed on the moon last night b4 i turned it off, i'll have to make sure to do that when i get home
