Radar 04-04-2008, 03:41 PM Shaq bought half the showroom of EastCoastCustoms with one - it was on TV. They made him a car, and when he came to collect, he saw four other cars he liked, and stuck them all on the card. Dozi 04-04-2008, 03:55 PM If anyone watches Entourage i forget what season but its the episode where Vinny buys the rest of the guys "toys", which included i think 2 Aston Martins and 2 of those street bikes that go like 200+ mph and are stupidly expensive.....he just gave the dealership the black card and they drove off in them with no questions asked. Granted its a fictional show but, thats actually how it does work. QQmoreimo 04-04-2008, 05:53 PM I think there's different levels of this card. I know a girl that has one that she shares with her mom. I'm assuming she spends ~ 100k or so per year (she says she charges everything on it). Resin 04-04-2008, 07:11 PM I know someone who has one actually..... a friend of mine ......... I knew he was wealthy but not that wealthy........ i had no idea about that shit. beetsh 04-04-2008, 08:14 PM The Centurion Card does have limits, but these limits are not pre-set at a certain level. Like any other American Express charge card, the limits are based on the spending history of card holder, as well as their personal credit profile and financial resources. A card holder spending $250,000 in the previous year could not just purchase a jet with a swipe of his or her card unless he or she had the resources to make good on the transaction. Each year spending habits are reviewed by the credit department in order to determine the spending limit for the next year. The limit can be increased after providing new financial data. IMAMEX 04-04-2008, 08:19 PM This card is a good way to get robbed. Flashy douchebags. beetsh 04-04-2008, 08:27 PM it's actually called the centurion card. but yeah it's for rich people. one-time $5000 fee for a new owner, and i think $2500 yearly fee. also minimum annual spending of $250,000 per year or they take it away from you lol. +1 UTT 04-04-2008, 10:27 PM American Express charges 3.25% to the merchant. So someone buying a $200,000 vehicle get charged $6500 in AMEX fees. Part of that money is used to fund rewards programs. The more the buyer spends, the more rewards he/she gets. So by spending $5000K a year just to have the card, the AMEX user probably receives thousands of dollars in rewards. Its a win/win for the AMEX user and AMEX and a lose situation for the business (sort of). ninjashoes 04-04-2008, 10:33 PM because of this site I now have one UTT 04-04-2008, 10:34 PM because of this site I now have one We should take a trip to the Tranny Ranch in Rio and use it. ninjashoes 04-04-2008, 11:01 PM We should take a trip to the Tranny Ranch in Rio and use it. we should go to hostel wimmer 04-04-2008, 11:01 PM charge cards are like trophy wives without the head... fucking useless war credit cards! but pay the balance each month, dipshits vBulletin® v3.7.4, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. |
