The reason there are no Red Lobsters in MA is because Red Lobster just doesn't do good business in a state where you can get fresh seafood in any resturant you want to go to. In other parts of the country that aren't close to lobstering areas, it's popular, but in MA, it's just not quality.

I understand why there aren't any, still it sucks.

On the commercials the Lobster looks absolutely fantastic. If they opened one in MA (they do have some in coastal regions in other parts on New England) maybe they could get better prices and even fresher lobsters.
