What is your guys perception of Theodicy. That is the question of "Why do bad things happen to good people?" or Simply why is there pain and evil in the world?

My view is that what is bad or evil to us is not truly evil to God. We cannot know the big picture of things in our lives, so we perceive at the immediate time that injustice is being cast onto us. However, if we could see the big picture, as God does, i believe we wouldnt think of evil as punishment or even evil at all?

Nice question. Many people will ask this and use it as a reason not to trust God.

My view is that the evil in the world is there only because God allows it to be there, this doesn't mean you have to be part of it. You have a choice to be evil. Man is responsible. The sin was brought into the world by men. And by Christ we are given a way to be saved from death and sin.

God uses all things to work towards the greater good.

If you think god merely allows evil in the world you need to read your bible a little closer.

oookaaayyy!

Actually that would really suck to think that no one is watching over or cares about you.

I cannot imagine the lonliness and hatred you must feel in your heart.

I tell you what, since it seems that no one else will be your friend, I will be your friend and I will be nice to you from now on.

So... deegs, tell me more about you.

no one to blame when i fail, and no one to steal the credit of all my awesome accomplishments like when i got hired at a gas station to clean windows.

That is the question of "Why do bad things happen to good people?"

Good topic. I don't believe in labeling things as good and bad. Say your wife leaves you. You're now lonely so this is a bad thing. Then you get a new girlfriend who's hotter than your wife. So your wife leaving is a good thing. Good / bad all depends on your outlook and the circumstances.

Secondly, what is a "good person"? Say I'm a good soldier and follow my orders and go to another country and kill who ever I'm told to kill. I'm good, right? Well it depends on who you ask. Your fellow soldiers probably think you're good, but whoever you're killing thinks you're bad.

The question could be reworded as "Why do things happen to people?", which is just a silly question.

You're being a bit too obvious with your projection here. Loneliness is understandable, many people feel lonely. But why do you feel hatred? The world's isn't as bad and scary as you think. Maybe some travel would be beneficial for you. Meet new people and experience new things.

You sound not only sad but resentful that there isn't a permanent, unalterable, and benign celestial dictator that can convict you of thought crimes. Essentially what you're asking for is a celestial North Korea - a perfect slave state with compulsory praise and fear that you can't escape.
