I bought the Perfect Pushup a couple of days ago and I'm very impressed. I will never do regular pushups again. If you don't know what they are then go to www.perfectpushup.com and check them out. I paid $40.00 for them at GNC and also received a short instructional DVD with them. I was using regular pushup handles until now and never realized how un-natural regular pushups really are. The general reasoning behind developing the Perfect Pushup is that pushups are like throwing a punch whereas your fist naturally wants to turn over when your arm is extended. The Perfect Pushup allows you to do just that. They also make the pushups more challenging than doing regular ones. It's about keeping perfect form and putting quality before quantity.
I didn't believe it at first when I watched the DVD but these are so challenging that you will only be able to do 1/3 the pushups that you were doing the 'traditional' way.
My advice is that if you have the extra cash, pick up a set of these. I doubt you'll be disappointed. Just thought I'd share.

Yeah man, well worth the money. They're very sturdy and I highly doubt they will even break. Much more effective than regular pushups and you can really feel it in your arms and chest after just doing a few.

I hear what you're saying blevunly but they work. It only makes perfect sense. As I stated in my first post, it's the same priciple as throwing a punch. If you're not rolling your wrist you're not doing it correctly and without this device it's virtually impossible to turn your wrists while doing 'normal' pushups. Again, these are very challenging and nothing but good results can be achieved by using them.

I'm not a proponent of stability training is why I don't like it the reason it's harder is because of the extra movements forcing you to stabalize more then you would on a regular push up so you lose force output. It's like the bosu ball which I also don't really like. But like I said if you enjoy it and use it then more power to you, it will provide a decent workout.

can't this just be done on dumbbells since the main point of it is the extra range of motion that you get?
i don't get what the twist adds

The twist makes it harder to stabilize.

Okay, I've been using these things for just a couple of weeks now and I can already see and feel the difference not only physically but mentally as well. My self confidence is through the roof!
Non-believers can continue to get sand kicked in their faces at the beach but not me pal!
I'm in it to win it.

I heard if you PAY someone to do your situps for you, it's like fucking a hooker.
...as in, same result without the emotional drama.
