- We reported last month on a "big reality TV star" that was backstage with Jonny Fairplay at the TNA iMPACT tapings. We can now confirm that that reality star was Joel "Truck" Anderson, who was eliminated from last night's Survivor show. Anderson has been training with TNA talent before recent iMPACT tapings, and also with Johnny "Rellik" Stambolli in Phoenix, where Stambolli and Anderson both live. Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash are said to be very high on Anderson's potential, and have been talking regularly with the reality TV star. Both Angle and Nash are also impressed with his attitude.
Some people within TNA are already feeling like Dixie Carter is overpaying two reality TV stars, in Anderson and Fairplay, especially seeing how there is still a lot of heat in the TNA locker room on Jonny Fairplay due to problems with his last run in the company. However, neither Fairplay or Anderson have signed contracts with TNA.
Anderson is a big, muscular guy with a good luck and is said to be one of the biggest guys on the TNA roster, with one person noting that he's bigger than Tomko. No word yet on when "Truck" will make his TNA debut, but it will probably be sooner than later so TNA can capitalize the most off his Survivor fame.
