they are sucking bad. they are 3-5 since they the deal went down, im pretty sure. they dropped from top in the west to the 6th seed. they lost at home to philly, that was fuckin embarassing, they just got blown out by the hornets, but they did beat the blazers in portland last night. their defense is even more atrocious and their offense isnt as fluid. time will tell if he can help in the playoffs, cuz they are missing marion big time now.

Today at 3:30 ET Shaq and the Suns take on the Spurs.

3-6 since the deal. Shaq has averaged 7 shot attempts a game. He is averaging a double double, and the Suns have out rebounded their opponents every game since getting him. The fact is, there opponents are shooting 50% against them. Horrible defense is allowing opponents to average 113 pts a game against the new look Suns.

looks like shawn marion was a bit underrated/underappreciated. he played a lot of the guards so nash was free to run the offense

interested to see how teams w/2 good guards fair vs the suns now that he's gone b/c nash has to D up

I think it's a little early to count out Phoenix... Shaq is slowly beginning to play well and find his place. D'Antoni is a great coach and i still expect the Suns to be a factor in the playoffs. wait for see

PHX stepped up and played d today, the spurs also shot terrible, had a lot of rolls go against them the last couple minutes of the 4th. Beating the Spurs like this shows they might be getting it turned around....could be interesting

they got him to win games like this. they need a balance of this w/their old style b/c the spurs wont miss that many shots again. for as much love as ginobili gets, he takes plenty of stupid shots

If you watch PHX games, Nash helps out on defense a lot so he's generally out of position and gets burned trying to get back to his man. No arguments with Defense wins Championships... PHX needs to do something different with theirs... I wouldn't put it on Nash, but the team as a whole.

I think the D wins championships stuff is a bit overrated b/c at some point you have to be able to score.

it's not all on nash but take away a versatile all NBA defender & he'll be worn out more this yr than last since he'll have to defend the wests tough PG's. last yr marion/bell guarded parker freeing him up.

i hate raja cuz he is a cheap shot artist. i respect he plays D hard, and once in about 7-8 games he will D kobe up decently, instead of getting torched by kobe like usual.
