Hi guys.
I need some help from standup fighters.
I started training again this week after a two years break because of an injury and some personal reasons.
In my first training session I didnīt feel very comfortable with my moving, footwork etc. so I decided to tape it and look for my weaknesses.
Since I think you guys are pretty knowlegable I wanted to post the video and see if some of you would take the time and watch it and give me some advice what I should work on and where my weaknesses are.
My standup comes from a kickboxing background but I would consider myself as an MMA fighter.
I want to start working on the ground and kicking in the next week. but my main goal is to become comfortable on my feet again and work on my striking.

please donīt be so harsh I am coming off a long break but helpful critic is very welcome.
thank you

well,i don't do mma but i trained in kickboxing for a while so my comments are more from a kickboxer standpoint.

the stuff ive noticed:

1.you stand more like a boxer than as a kickboxer, meaning that your legs are a little too close in width than they should be and your back feet is in 90 degrees to the front feet and not with toes pointing forward as it should.

2.you are very open when you release your right hook (you can see it clearly at the 4th round).

3.it seems to me that you don't use your back foot to get more power in your cross.it looks as the punch starts from your waist and not from your back foot (you stand on your toes and not the balls of your back leg when you hit).

with all that said,i think you look pretty good and that you just need to give it a little more time.you catch quite a rust in two years so take it easy on yourself.it will take some time to get it off.

for the record,i only trained a year and a half,so take this under consideration.

thanks for your feedback.
I stand more like a boxer because even when i did kickboxing i mainly used my hands and i trained with some boxers in the past.
and yes i shouldnīt throw that wide open hook and turn my body more into my cross.
need to work on that i guess.

keep the hands higher

circle off after your combos

use your legs!

looks ok though. we now expect regular video updates of progress!
