Hi guys I was hoping someone in the forum could help me with my problem.

I've been told and I also see that one of my major problems while boxing is that my upperbody becomes very stiff. I try to relax but I find it hard or I just dont know how to while I'm boxing. I definetly feel the reprucssions from my bad habit, as I constantly get knots on my back which hurt.

Could anyone recommend me any tips, drills, exercise, ANYTHING lol to help me fix my very bad habit... It would honestly be a life saver!

Thanks In Advance

Not to be rude, my good man, but this sounds like something you should be asking your trainer.

If he doesn't know the answer to this, get a new trainer. :)

first off why cant you relax? are you afraid of getting hit? if so stop boxing.
if thats not it just general nervs.
breathing excerises.
meditation
yoga

all these help. for my self my best way to get in the zone and just let shit flow is to listen to a song before training and try to resing the entire song in my head gets me distracted enought that the techniques just flow and just gets me relaxed.

My advice: Its a mental thing, you need to spar more, get in the gym more often than not.
The more you spar(practice), the less tense you will be because you are more confident in your abilities.

just look at Toney Vs Barkley, Toney was so confident and relaxed in that ring it was just a one sided killing.

The mind is a powerful thing. Like they all say, Boxing is all psychological.

Do what i do, smoke some bomb before training and you won't be tense. You might get knocked out, but you won't be tense.
