I really have no idea but I had over 400 spyware when i scanned and usually I have about 26 and those are just tracking cookies mostly. Theres a new one out I think its called jango or something, its a bitch.

I thought that I had one yesterday but I was running slow from all the fights that I've downloaded the past few days. Virus's suck, glad I didn't have one. Norton corporate Antivirus and AdAware are my best friends.

Don't forget to add ZoneAlarm to your list of best friends. ZA saved my PC sooo many times.

I had that a while back. Its just some nasty malware. Go to http://majorgeeks.com and download Ewidos anti-malware program. Its only a free trial, but itll get the job done. After its installed, run ewido in safe mode and it should take care of the problem. Be warned tho, it took almost 2 hours for it to scan my whole system so itll prolly take a while for you too.

I got rid of it but it was a pain in the ass because I had to run all these registry fixes to get my shut down back. I use spyware doctore but I had it off because I wanted my comp to run faster, that was a mistake.

I downloaded an Active X component once that contained THE worst spyware/adware load ever, I though there was no hope cuz ZoneAlarm was useless cuz it was already in my PC. I tried all the Ad-Ware removers but they all failed to delete the main "virus" itself that kept spamming me with more adware. I finally killed the parasites with the free AVG AntiVir antivirus program. I removed the shitty AVAST! antivirus program that I had but wasn“t able to destroy the little fuckers.

The funny thing was that the adware advertized anti-adware programs etc, which made me furious. I swore to kick the shit out of the persons responsible if I ever would meet them.

That sounds just like the one i had. Funny enough, I swore to take a brick to the face of the dickless piece of shit responsible for it too. I still hope I meet that fucker somewheres down the road.....

I got some nasty Lycos spyware that overtook my homepage, pop ups and links everywhere, and basically made my internet unusable. I downloaded some anti-spyware programs and it took care of it.

I've been pretty lucky though. I ran a computer for 2 years with expired anti-virus and didn't get a thing. Then I was running my current computer for almost a year before I downloaded a spyware or anti-virus program. Ran the tests and no spyware or viruses. I think it's because I use Opera web browser. Who would want to take that out?

I use to, but now, I dont get any viruses. Im running the following:

NOD32 - probably the best AV
ZoneAlarm Pro Firewall - user friendly firewall, alot way better than windows firewall
Ad Aware - one of the best AS
Spybot - one of the best AS
Spywareblaster - prevents installations
Spywareguard - prevents hijackers
Ewido Anti-Spyware - removes malwares

IE user, so Ive got tons of Anit-Spywares.

I always get viruses at the worst times. I got them when I had virus protection so I dont even bother with it anymore. I use spybot and adaware from time to time when my comp gets slow.

You guys should consider getting "processguard". Even if you happen to get a virus on your system, it won't be able to cause any harm as it is denied to start/terminate or modify anyhing while processguard is running.
