Ok, so Tim had an arm in when Nog choked him out. Isn't having an arm in supposed to make finishing the choke more difficult? Tim did seem to tap pretty quickly. My question is; could a guillotine with an arm in be turned from an air choke into a blood choke, kinda like an arm triangle?

Yes and yes ......... You have to be pretty skilled to pull a guillotine with a hand outside

what makes the choke so effective is the angle at which Nog is. if he was directly under time then it would have not been nearly as effective.. but because Nogs hips were side it gives him more leverage to pull off the choke.

I didn't think Tim even had the arm in... I think Nog had it totally locked in. Now Almeada definately did his with the arm in.

tim also tapped within two seconds to a straight ankle, he just really doesn't like being in submission's he has admitted to it himself.

it was a blood choke, with tim's shoulder blocking one artery and nog's arm blocking te other, like xhale said it is all in the angle, and the best way to do it is to squeaze your elbows in, rickson used to crunch his body in but i think nog extended tim.

see it dose but if you turn your hips to the other side and pull the arms inand up cutting the angle of the head off then its not difficult. watch joe stevenson he dose this. if you keep your hips square like you would with a regular no arms in guillotine then you will have to be hella stronge. to truly get this point you need to think of where the name guillotine came from. a guillotine traps the head completly and surounds it completly cutting it off from the body. people when they go for this choke they think only traping the treacia when you have to cut off the air supply and the blood flow. when your trully understand this idea then the choke comes easy.
