View Full Version : so my house almost caught fire
when i was sleeping last night i woke up to a loud popping sound at like 4 am and i smell electrical burning. then i look over at where my computers are set up and noticed there was light coming from behind one of them, which i assumed wasn't good.
upon further inspection, my linux file server was on fire. i guess linux is too bad ass for a pentium 2 or something. so now i get to look around my crap pile for a new power supply. wtf.
i'mma call it a fire server from now on.
i hope the fucker even turns on when i hook up a new psu.
dragonfly 02-02-2008, 09:17 AM ive been in a similar predicament, fergie... except when i awoke, the entire wall was engulfed in flames... seemingly, my bf & i fell asleep with a candle still lit, the curtains caught fire & with the beau coup amount of fans we had going at the time, it jus made things worse... the suffocating smell of burnt paint, plastic & electrical wire filled the room with a dense cloud of black smoke... scary shit
