VENDO 01-29-2008, 08:14 AM increase your protein intake, and TRAIN.
Supplements are SUPPLEMENTS.
They won't get you bigger, your diet and training regime will.SUPPLEMENTS just SUPPLEMENT your diet and training.
If you want to get bigger, you have to eat more.
Lift for strength, do the 5x5 routine.
Shoulder head press, Bench press, barbell rows, squat, deadlift, pull ups, chin ups, dips..
if you are thinking about isolating muscles, DON'T!
Compound excersises are the way to go.

Why You’re a Skinny Guy. Get an account on Fitday & track your calorie intake. Do this for a week at least & be honest. You’ll understand why you’re skinny:
You don’t eat enough.
You don’t eat quality food.
Your Current Approach. What I think of your workouts & nutrition:
Machines are less effective than free weights: no need to balance, fixed movement patterns,…
Protein shake post workout is good. Continue. Realize it won’t make you gain weight significantly, it just helps muscle recovery.
Crackers, bagels, pizza,… are low quality food. You need quality, calorie dense food.
Fruit & veggies. I don’t see them. Explains the use of multivitamins. Whole foods is better.
How To Gain Weight For Skinny Guys. You need to gain at least 25lbs:
Eat more. Eat every 3 hours.
Check how to eat healthy while keeping it cheap.
Eat quality, calorie-dense food. Rice, breads, oats, pasta, potatoes, …
Switch to the Beginner Strength Training Program for better muscle gain.
http://stronglifts.com/stronglifts-5x5-beginner-strength-training-program/
Free time to eat. Prepare everything on waking up or before sleeping. Cooking takes 30-45mins. The more you do it, the less time it takes.
Example Diet. Here’s some inspiration:
Breakfast: eggs, oats, raisins, milk
Snack: turkey sandwich, banana
Lunch: pasta with cheese, tomato sauce & meat
Snack: tuna sandwich, apple
Post workout: protein, milk, oats, banana
Dinner: meat, veggies, fruits
Supper: cottage cheese, berries, fish oil
Start slowly. Focus on eating every 3 hours. Start with 2 eggs at breakfast with 40g oats, 30g raisins & milk. Up the quantities when you get used to the food.

AMEN...Food > supplements. Adding fruit (banana etc) to your protein shakes & mixing it w/milk instead of water will make it more nutrient dense. It'll be close to a meal replacement but cheaper and w/real food in it.

Most of that stuff isn't very pricey--probably $120 a month for all of it.

is acupuncture effective?
Nosmilez 06-02-2008, 12:39 PM is acupuncture effective?
i don't believe in all that pressure points. chi junk. but i do believe that those needles stabbing your body releases some sort of dopamine that helps with pain. also the needles are sometimes connected to an electrostim machine thats mimicks the electro therapy u get from a physical therapy place.
sometimes when i come out of a session i feel a sense of euphoria

Lots of people just want to go natty. I say go natty as long as you are making gains...then if you can't break through then try a light PH cycle.
