that would be great...BIG BLUE all the way, the Pats. are beat up, 19 games is a lot and i don't think that the defense has enough in the tank to go another 4 Quarters.
Brady is a force of nature though and he would be my only sleeper.
The G MEN have to make sure they take the cue from the other AFC teams in the playoffs and continue to blanket Moss, allowing of course the short yardage gains which may end up as the opportunity that Brady needs to put his team over the top.
However if the Pats prove to be as inept as they have been playing as of late, look for the big Giants defense to get the work in.
They tasted blood in the last week of the regular season and I'm guessing the second time around their will be a feeding frenzy mentality on both the defensive and offensive sides of the football for NY.
This could prove to be the most memorable Superbowl of the decade if Eli Manning can keep his head on and the ball in the hands of his offense.
while everything in my being knows its wrong to choose against the Pats...18-0, dynastic championship performance time after time after time... Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Teddy Bruschi, Junior Seau, and a host of other phenomenal talents my gut is telling me that in this game the 14 point dog, team with nothing to lose and an almost catatonic Quarterback is steam rolling right now. whether its something to prove to the league, his team, his brother, or his dad, Eli is a man on fire, no one expected a Manning-Brady showdown Feb. 3, but thats just what the nation will get....tune in

Giants over the Pats
23 21

Look for them to be +2 in turnovers and a time of possession over 30 mins. in the big game

Of Course the MVP will be Eli Manning, although Plaxico might seem more deserving of it, he will have done just enough to secure the win and seal his families name in the glory that is NFL...Look for the Lombardi trophy to find its way from new England down the corridor to the home of the New York football Giants....NEW YORK BABY!

Pats over the Giants
Score: 31-13
MVP: Laurence Maroney

It's a little odd tho to read that 19 games is a lot as a reason for NE to lose... The Giants will be playing in their 20th game.

P.S. Look at the numbers... The Patriots D in the second half of games... friggin stellar.

Every week the strain of the streak bears credence on the shoulders of the Mighty New England Patriots, straws can only be amounted so high until a breaking point is reached. true that the Superbowl is that climax that the previous meaningless 18 games have been leading up to, and if their were focused against the Jets and the Raves they will be ready for round 2 of the Giants, but i just feel the tingle in the atmosphere and the lighting is about to strike, just once.

The Patriots are accustomed to constant pressure, every game is treated like a playoff game by the media and fans. The Giants have not seen anything like this upcoming week so far this season.

Definatly won't be Moss as MVP, they will double him up and that will leave Welker and Stahlworth wide open. If the Giants can pressure Brady then it's a ball game.

Randy Moss has been a sleeper the last few games, mainly because he has been double teamed every play, the Giants will look to put strong coverage on Wes Welker, leaving moss open for a huge pass early in the game, the Pats will come out to an early lead and the Giants will never recover.
the score may be close but B rady will have control of the whole game

This was a bitter fucking loss for the Patriots. I wish could feel bad for them, but they were awfully arrogant with the book deal and the trademarking of 19-0. I think they and the Pats media went over the top.

In the end, I think the pressure got to them. Did anyone see Brady's eyes during the game? He was worried; the Giants were kicking his ass and he couldn't move the ball.

I might go to the parade if it doesn't rain.

Local news reports suggest that Moss is already in negotiations with the Patriots. He cannot officially sign until the FA period begins, however, because he restructured his deal in April when the Patriots got him (renegotiations so soon are against the CBA). Brady has also said that he and Moss are a "packaged deal" and Moss seemed to suggest he was ready to come back and try again next year assuming he was given an offer.

The Patriots are also trying to re-sign Asante Samuel, but they expect him to "chase" the money, so to speak.

GO PATRIOTS!

I can't believe how far he has come. I loved that kid when he was 20 yrs old at Texas Tech and nobody but me knew who he was when he was breaking records with BJ Symons and Kliff Kingsbury. When the Pats signed him, I said he would be Troy Brown all over again, and goddamn, he is.

Hate to say it, bro, but that is ignorance, or short memory...

I cringe* when I think about what a prime Troy Brown would do with Randy Moss, Donte Stallworth and Ben Watson as threats around him. He had 101 catches when he was the only target, double teamed play after play. That dude was the definition of a good slot receiver; as is Wes. Neither guy is overly dominant on the outside.

He is far too old, and a shell of his former self at this point, but at one point (2000-2001) he was about the same as Welker is right now (as hard as it may be to believe).

*cringe aka predict about 112 receptions and Welker's identical stats.

u my boy axe, its just this tired act of all the haters gets old quick. its like everyones been brainwashed into thinking the worst about the Patriots. just kind of incredible to me as ive been following the team, and this game, for as long as i can remember (im only 21 tho lol).

its like EVERYONE except my fellow Pats fans expect nothing less than for belichick to do a little dance, give coughlin a kiss, and personally knit "SB champion" sweaters for each of the Giants. he ought to come out and cry at the podium, too. hey, it worked for hilary... eh?

i mean the guy just suffered the biggest upset in the history of modern day sports and was absolutely rattled. he has had everyone against him and he's supposed to smile and put on a bs facade? that said, he AND coach coughlin met in the middle of the field where Belichick congratulated him on the world championship (which IMO is him handling his duties) and then he left Coughlin and the Giants to their big stage. big fucking deal, i cant believe this shit.

I along with many others on here said that the Pats were classless about not giving the Giants the due on the field (and most didn't) but oh well it happens, BUT I never did say anything about Belichick not going out there to give congrats to Coughlin, which he did and I congrat him for that.
