View Full Version : Is CrossFit Training brutal? VENDO 01-24-2008, 06:34 AM Just curious. VENDO 01-24-2008, 06:35 AM I don't know much about cross fit. I have a friend that its in it, he always says he's dead after training. but he is usually a lazy person. hotnewton 01-24-2008, 08:12 AM I have a couple friends who are in the Canadian Military (laughs) but they've been using it a lot and say it's just fucking brutal VENDO 01-24-2008, 08:18 AM yeah, but I've seen fuckin grandmothers in it.. so sometimes I question peoples toughness. TapOut136 01-24-2008, 09:52 AM Just curious. Yes. If you do the workout of the day as written and finish it in a competitive time it's tough. The comment about grandmothers aside, not many people are fit (or skilled) enough to perform the Olympic lift, kettlebell exercises, power lifting movements, gymnastics, aerobic conditioning, or to demonstrate the work capacity necessary. Here's an example: Three rounds for time: Run 400 meters 1 ½ pood Kettlebell X 21 swings (or 55 pound dumbbell swing) 12 Pull-ups http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/CrossFit_SCL1OPTHelen.wmv hotnewton 01-24-2008, 11:46 AM yeah, but I've seen fuckin grandmothers in it.. so sometimes I question peoples toughness. 'm sure it has to do with the level of intensity the individual puts forth... I've seen 65 yr old men doing bodybuilding routines with 10lb weights... that doesn't mean the workout isn't tough when done with 70lb weights... from what I've seen/heard the crossfit workouts are balls to the wall tough... can't really elaborate more... try one and let us know VENDO 01-24-2008, 12:28 PM I'm not gonna try one. I was just curious. TapOut136 01-24-2008, 01:57 PM I'm not gonna try one. I was just curious. It's a fait accompli then vBulletin® v3.7.4, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. |
