im actually listening to the new album, i just downloaded it, and it's nowhere near as good as their older stuff.

sounds pretty good though, but not quite as good.

coheed has the pop-rock area covered.

i duno how i like them, b/c i hate all pop rock. but they make some really good music imo. i enjoyed all 4 of their cds.l

That Coheed shit is pretty terrible. If this Atreyu band is like them than they are probably just another one of the new MTV rock bands.

atreyu was a pretty damn good hardcore band who sounds like pop rock now. Coheed is a whole different story really...tho they do have a few really gay songs, which are the ones that are popular, i think they have made some really tripped songs and 4 good albums.

yea for sho, i was only comparing them b/c i consider coheed the only good pop rock band. atreyu should of stuck with their roots, cause now the just sound like they are trying to copy a bunch of other shitty bands.

also atleast most hardcore bands put out 3 solid albums b4 goin to complete shit. actually in all honesty im not even sure if its the same atreyu that they were like 3 years ago, i remember hearing they broke up and not hearing shit for a while. then all the sudden they released a shit album a while back, and now this garbage.

I don't get how they can call some of that shit "Hardcore." It is like some of these faggy bands that take a fairly cool sounding name like "The Killers" or "My Chemical Romance" but then you hear that shit and they sound like some whiny little girls that just got fucked in the ass before they came out and sang there gay little self pitying/self loathing songs.

i agree, but it doesnt mean i wont listen to something if it sounds good to me. good music to me is something i can listen too time and time again and be entertained. there are very few musicians that have been able to make several albums of good value.
