with this one i would suggest coming on top and finishing like laimon showed in the second vid, javi hits this roll all the time on other black belts

god i love this choke, you can hit it from anywhere and it takes little muscle

i don't know about all you guys but an anaconda is hard to it, either i have to power through it a lot or the guy has to give me the perfect angle to get it deep, with the darce however even if loose it's do-able

Darce choke is awesome. Drysdales dvd about this subject is really good.

i've never seen it, i learned it from javi but i hit this move all the time against wrestlers, i like to trap the arm ala matt hughes vs bj penn and newton and let up on them a little. then they usually come up to grab a single and then i sink it in

works like a charm

I also let people roll out of side control a lot of times, and attempt the Darce/Brabo choke.

cant say iv never seen this one before... excellent finisher, very hard to get out of, and easy from most angles.

Nice, that's exactly how I get it also. I like that arm trap alot especially against bigger guys so they don't flip me.

man shinya uses that choke all the time to set shit up. i heard so much about it but its just the brabo no gi choke. its basically a revers anachonda.

Brabo, Anaconda, and Darce are all in the same neighborhood. Just different arm/body positions, but same idea. Great with Gi, and no Gi.

yeah but the anaconda takes too much muscle for me to feel safe trying it i would hate to blow my wad in a single submission attempt, the brabo is great with a gi but no gi i feel like i would expose my back too much

the darz is great cause it is just as (if not more) effective as the other two but no risk

it dosnt take that much muscle it just need getting the elbow in deep enough i often try it but rarely get it due how hard it is to get the elbow in deep enough. but when i do get the elbow in deep the choke comes easy

also the roll itself is hard if the guy has a great base, the darz on the other hand the roll is easier because it chokes the guy if he tries to keep his base, and so to releave pressure he goes with it

and to get the elbow in deep takes muscle too, i just think the darce is waaaaaay better all around than the anocanda

:sifone: your gi record gets my approval.

This is like, the choke of the month or something at my dojo. EVERYONE is going for it.

I only really try it when someone is turtled up and goes for a single. For whatever reason I can hit it from there more than side control.

did you guys see cole miller try for it? i was getting a hard on and then the guy let it go, he didn't sprawl his hips back or put pressure over the guys trapped shoulder

I missed that, Narb.

But those vids were good and I plan on working on that Darce action in the future.
