I'm looking for a new Gi. I have 2 gi's right now. A red atama gold weave, and a gold weave Mkimono. Both awesome, but can get heavy when I start sweating. Right now I'm leaning towards a Gameness Pearl, or maybe a Koral Classic. Any suggestions?

i use my atama for everyday grappling cuz its strong... the koral is a little softer

i have a koral that i use 3 times a week. I love it. it also looks really good. one of the brown belts at my dojo just got a kieko raca or watever they are called. I like the way it looks. He likes it cuz its not too heavy and says its great for summer in southern california. His is black and looks really good.

I'm actually thinking about a black Sirius ultra lite gold weave.

Have you guys ever heard of tourneys that don't allow black gi's? I've never seen anyone get sent away, but I have read tourney rules that said "White and blue gi's only"

I think it teh bullshitz, especially cuz my best gi is black.

I think the IBJJ rules state that the only colors your gi can be is blue, white, or black. Well, thats only for IBJJ tournaments. But I have heard of people being turned away for having yellow, red, or dark green gi's. I have competed in a red gi as well!
