IMAMEX 01-14-2008, 08:51 PM So I'm trying to eat a lot better and I realized that either due to the lack of time or whatever, I never eat breakfast. I was wondering how to go about eating better?
what are some good options?
Could I maybe substitute breakfast with a protein shake or some sort of breakfast in a blender?

Fibersure (thats the brand name)Cereal the high protein kind, with blueberry's in it and skim milk. Its ass fuel for the day, and lots of other good shit you need to help your metabolism go for the day.
The main thing is start eating breakfast. Yes its a good idea to choose healthy food but you should be eating breakfast period. It kick starts your metabolism and gives you fuel for the day.
The way I see it is like doing any exercise will be more beneficial than waiting for the perfect workout routine.
Many say you should eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. We tend to do this the other way around.

i remember putting some powdered protein, cereal, honey, half a banana, and some other bullshit. like strawberries or something.

that's what they tell me. the thing about that is that's it's really hard to fit that in if you work a shitty 9-5. i'm already getting some names of some protein shakes and i'll keep doing research. the thing about it is that i like doing things right the first time and with so many options, i just fucking freak out about fucking things up and wasting money on shit that ends up not getting the job done.
i'm thinking what dozi said about eating a good cereal and eating some fruits and veggies throughout the day and maybe a chicken breast at night. i gotta stock up on food now.

Yeah that's the fault in that saying. I dont know about equal though I prefer 6 meals a day usually with a couple of them being bigger and some of them snacks.
jomomma 01-15-2008, 05:51 AM kronk & rob are right. eating balanced protein, fruit/veg, natural carb meals every 3 hrs or so is ideal but cost and time tend to fuck that up.
missing breakfast leaves you vulnerable to hunger & pigging out on fast food or eating junk for quick energy
eat every 3-4 hrs (dont clock watch, just when you start feel it). think of your metabolism as a furnace, you've got to throw some wood on the fire every so often to keep it burning.
you can eat chunks of a big balanced meal throughout the day. or have breakfast, lunch & dinner w/2 mini meal snacks of fruit, nuts, instant oatmeal, sandwich etc in between
i eat protein shake and a banana. optimum nutrition= good shakes
hotnewton 01-17-2008, 03:48 AM if you can't get yourself to eat breakfast... pick up some Slim Fast or Some form of protein powder... mix it with milk...
I only say Slimfast other than a straight protein powder because it has a decent amount of carbs and a ton of vitamins and minerals...
Better still, buy some protein powder that isn't low carb and is vitamin infused... throw it in a blender with a banana and some milk and mix it up... drink it... eat an apple too

parker 01-18-2008, 03:33 PM i never used to eat breakfast but recently start and found it helps my diet. i fill up on protein shakes cereal and fruit in a morning then when im at work it made me stop buying shit from the shops because i dont really get hungry now

TripleAAA 02-09-2008, 05:16 PM You can try those dry fruit and nut bars. I actually get up earlier to get to work earlier to eat there. All it takes is 15-20 minutes tops.
