WWE’s next feature film titled "12 Rounds" is currently in pre-production and will begin filming at the end of January in New Orleans. IMDB.com reports that the scheduled theatrical release date is Sept. 5, 2008.

So far John Cena is the only confirmed cast member. Cena will be playing Detective Danny Baxter. Renny Harlin, who produced Die Hard 2, is listed as the movie’s producer and director.

The plot reads as followed: "Detective Danny Baxter is about to have the worst day of his life when an evil crime lord kidnaps his girlfriend and forces him to go '12 Rounds' around the streets of New Orleans."

This is basically The Marine except he's a detective this time.
