I started weight training at 16 and went all out by 18. I was a power lifter with a 305 max bench and a 500 deadliift.
Then I blew my elbow out, I can't lift at all now, one day of bench means 5 days of pain and no training.
I wrestled in high school and got into mma at 21. I have great training partners and my injurie isn't effecting my training to much besides a lack of wrist strength in m left hand.
Now strength is slowly becoming a problem as I loose the gains I made when I was younger.
Does anyone know other ways to effectivel strength train without to much impact.

I had a very similar problem. I tore my medial epicandal and injured my elbow pretty bad at the same time. I had to get rehab but i still couldn't go heavey in the gym. Then my elbow would start locking up for no reason. I did the one thing i said i would not do becasue it was lame. I got acupuncture on my elbow. They also found out i had a large bone chip in my radial head. Right now the bone chip is almost gone and i can go heavey at the gym. I find acupuncture is good for pain relief but that isn't really what youre asking. Trying plyometrics or if you can handle a medicine ball that works heavey. I strongly recommend acupuncture.

There's a guy in my gym who has almost every injury from strongman competition. He won the Western Canada Strongest man event and he has a crushed disc in his back, both biceps torn, torn acl and pec tear at this time and he's in the gym everyday. So i don't complain. I still think hes a n idiot but he has drive

Take lots of bone/supplements along with all the other stuff. Try to isolate the muscles in a way that wont target the hurt area, sounds like it could be hard to do but yeah injuries are the worst thing about training.

bc, i'm not a doctor, but from what i know you can strengthen your joints through weightlifting. when the muscles are strong enough around the joints, they help the tendons in stabilizing the joints which would be a huge relief on your elbow pain. so you could probably work out your biceps, triceps, and forearms and have less elbow pain and get stronger at the same time.
that sucks man, sorry to hear that
