- Despite all the negative attention he has been receiving lately, Hulk Hogan has been receiving a lot of non-wrestling offers due to him hosting the new season of American Gladiators on NBC.

- As previously posted, Vince McMahon's decision to put Jonathan Coachman on the SmackDown announcing team came as a surprise to many within the company. WWE kept the news very quiet leading up until the SmackDown tapings last weekend. Most of SmackDown's top stars wanted Tazz to replace JBL as Tazz and Michael Cole had pretty good chemistry before Tazz went over to ECW in 2006. Coachman got mixed reactions on his first SmackDown broadcast and WWE officials understand that it is a work in progress.

- WWE's "Triumph and Tragedy of World Class Championship Wrestling" DVD debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top 10 Recreational Sports listings for the week ending on 1/5. The John Cena DVD came in at #2 while the HBK DVD followed at #3. Rey Mysterio's DVD dropped down to #7 with the WrestleMania 23 DVD coming in at #8.
