i have the fan, the cooler, i keep it up standing up next to another fan. and i have the warranty taped to the side of it.

If you have that Nyko intercooler on there, you might want to take it off. Those cause fires on 360's. Microsoft has said that those void the warranty also.

But to get back on the thread, good luck with sending it in. I got a brand new 1 back from them went my disc tray wouldn't open. I sent it in at the begining of Sept. I got a brand new one two weeks later. It was so new that it said it was manufactured Sept. 9 2007. Also, I got a free 1-month gold because it took 4 phone calls for them to ship the box to my house.

yea those fans and coolers are no good. your also not supposed to stand your xbox up from what i hear b/c it will burn rings in your discs. i stood my xbox up wen i first had and it ruined 3-4 of my games. tho i also have several friends who tell me theirs has always been stood up and no problems, so who the fuck knows.

Keeps mine flat. I also make sure to have it in an open area for both the 360 and the brick that plugs in. I try to keep those two things from having heat built up while I play.

fuck I heard that as long as I get an intercooler i'll be fine. I'll have to look into that. I don't play marathon sessions cause I haven't gotten my LCD from newegg yet. I did pass out the other day and left it on all night. I woke my ass up and turned it off then went to bed.

No intercooler. If it is Nyko, I wouldn't take a chance. There is cases of fires that were caused by it. I know they probably fixed the intercooler, but I would rather just keep it in an open air environment with a fan on it sometimes. Also, you can set your 360 to shut off after 6 hours of inactivity. I think that it will turn off only if you are on the dashboard though.
