they played in 05 (suns win) and 06 (mavs win). I dont remember the injury situation but this mavs team is better all-around, deeper, more athletic and better defensively than that team was.

in '05 the suns were healthy and walked through the mavs, in 06 the suns were destroyed by injuries, amare didnt play, bell was injured and suns came off back to back 7 game series. they still made it a decent series.

the mavs are better since then but so are the suns. the mavs basically have the same players have gotten better, while the suns add amare, G Hill, raja bell, and Barbosa is 3 times as good as he was that year.
