ehh that is horrible imo... if you trap the arm while jumping to a guillotine only a tomato can would allow his armmt o stay there and not use it to break the guard...that i thought was common knowledge...

...other than that HUGE flaw in his technique the set up is pretty nice

yes and no imo, it looks like he catches the arm in above the elbow thus making it hard to break the guard easily. if its locked in like that i think it could get a tap a lot of the time.

i disagree if you trap above the elbow although there is less leverage to break the guard you could still use that arm to easily slide out and use it to pass immediately....

i have heard it form many instructor and seminars that when you jump to the guillotine or even guard for that matter make sure you dont trap the arm...yes it would work exceptionally well you face someone who sucks

Pretty cool move, thanks for posting that! I don't have much luck doing arm in guillotines against good people, but it looks like it would be hard for someone to stay standing with their posture broken like that and once you hit the ground you could switch to a triangle pretty easily if the guillotine isn't working out. imo.

Don't forget that if the guy try to remove is trapped arm you can go for a triangle also...

The setup is pretty sick, never thought of it that way.

exactly if the dude tries to use the arm to break the guard, well go ahead and open the guard and move up to the triangle

yeah good point that would be very slick to pull though:sifone:

In a street fight this would be an awesome technique... Don't even need underhooks... Just don't do it on concrete or near a curb or they will be picking your brains off the cement.

Looks good, I'll try it out. Could lead to some messy scrambles, but it's a nice flashy move to try every once in a while.
