Royce Da 5'9'' - Death is Certain
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8MQ5T5A5

This album is packed with meaning, dealing with death and it's inveitable course in music and life. Great lyrics in this as well, metaphors, similes added into deep storys about different aspects of the his personal life and music career. Very moody with a distinct tone set, and outstanding production make this probably one of the best concept rap albums of the 2000s.

Mos Def and Talib Kweli are two of my favorites. The Black Star Album is a classic.

The name "Blue Scholars" is a play on the term "blue collar," which is an idiom for workers who often earn meager hourly wages for manual labor. Their music and lyrics often focus on struggles between socioeconomic classes, challenging authority and youth empowerment, as evidenced in the songs "Blink" and "Commencement Day." These themes are often specifically addressed in relation to the Seattle region, as in "Southside Revival" and "The Ave."

The duo has performed across the United States and made appearances at the Sasquatch! Music Festival in 2005 and 2006, and Bumbershoot opening for Kanye West in 2006. They have opened for and shared stages with such artists as De La Soul, Slick Rick, Wordsworth, Kanye West, Immortal Technique, The Coup, Masta Ace, Mos Def and Little Brother.[1][2]

In 2006, the Blue Scholars received top honors in the hip hop category of the Seattle Weekly's Music Awards Poll, and were also the top vote-getters overall; in earlier years, they had been recognized in the categories of Best Hip-hop Artist, Best Local Single, and Best Album

I agree that Immortal Technique is one of the best lyricists I know of. He talks about some pretty deep stuff and his beats are always original.

1) Dance with the Devil
2) You Never Know
3) Leaving the Past
4) Internally Bleeding
5) Industrial Revolution

My top 5 picks but virtually all his songs are great.
