In your opinion what criteria does a person need to meet in order for you to consider them a real friend??


For me its having that basic goodness inside them.I refer to it as the 'goodstuff'.Its a basic quality that all other virtues r borne from.
I dont care about colour,age,religion or the likes.All that shit can be thrown into a cocked hat.

Thoughts??

I'm like you jimmy, i don't care about race or religion or any of that shit. None of that shit matters when it comes down to it.

I've told a few people, around where i live, that some of my best friends are right here at the shoes.

Its wrong and sad how certain religions teach or imply that anyone outside of their belief system is bad/evil and cant be associated with.It robs the individual of his right to utilise & spread all the goodness he has to offer
Theres good christians and bad,good muslims and bad etc..and to deny any person the right to pick and choose friends in an indiscriminate manner is an atrocity that i find rather distasteful.

I totally agree jimmy. I wish i could come up with the words like you do but i don't have your gift. All i know is, when people look to me as a friend, and they're loyal and honest, then they have a friend for life in me.

my computer is running real real slow for some reason, but only on this site. I don't know what the problem is but it's taking me about 5 minutes to complete a post. ima have to restart and run maintenance or something.

Trustworthy, drop everything in an instant in an emergency, I have a tough time being really good friends (hang out all the time type shit) with people who constantly drink/drug it up because I do not live that lifestyle... I usually like being friends with people uglier than me too... it makes me look handsomer than I actually am... also, people I can beat up easily so I look tough...

Someone with integrity and consistency in morals and ethics; good or bad.

I also value those highest that respect my approach/personal business with family and my significant others

PS- I have no friends that are girls. Never have. Don't know why but i need something more with a women than just friendship.

i can think of one word that can describe a "real friend" for me

yea i say alot of racisit things on NS but im not racist in the slightest, i just like to be offensive, my way to look at it is i hate everyone equally lol,, but in all reality if it aint offensive it aint comedy, i just like comedy

Have to be able to trust them unquestionably for a start.

Another important thing is the way they act. For example, if I'm broke and my friend says "I've got £3.47. What are WE gonna eat?"; that is a true friend.
