So I go to my car so I can go to Office Depot to grab some ink so I can print out my homework for my business class. And my car won't start. I have no idea why it won't start. Battery works.
Spark Plugs are brand new.
Just had it serviced not too long ago. When I go to start it it won't even turn over. Maybe it's the starter?
I haven't used my car since Saturday night when I came back to school. Everything seemed fine then. So it's just been sitting outside.
The major problem is it's sitting on the street and there's street cleaning tomorrow so that means I'll get another 50 dollar ticket. I just fucking paid for one too.

So I was thinking of leaving it and putting a note on the windshield wiper saying "please don't ticket. car won't start."

Any help, advice, or anything to help me out? Any thoughts?

If it won't even start to turnover, its your starter. Otherwise, its probally your battery. Take that shit to auto zone.

Otherwise, push it up in your front yard til tomorrow.

even though the lights turn on doesnt mean it has enough juice to turn the engine over.

on the other hand if it just happened all of a sudden, yeah it probably is just the starter.

remove starter, takes about twenty minutes, take it to autozone for free testing and get back to us.

So he should take out his starter for testing and leave his car by the road to be fined, or he should take the car that won't start somewhere that it doesn't wanna go........??

if there is an autozone nearby, he should be able to do repair it within a couple of hours. as far as the street cleaner is concerned, I would call the city street division or police parking enforcement agent and ask for an exemption due to circumstance.

or he can just trade his car for a vespa.

i always find that pre-planning works best. we are all going to have our car break down at some point. make sure you know what you'll do if it does...

Like Ninja said at least have a small credit card that you use for nothing but emergencies.

AAA is everybodys friend. Not very expensive either.

Posting a "help me" message on the internet? Srsly, you should have some friends and family you should be able to call.

"My car just broke down and its stranded. I think I'll go home and LOG ONTO NINJASHOES!!!"--- that's probably your first problem.

personally, I'm a member of the NRMA (like AAA), plus have roadside assistance as part of my car purchase.

No sweat.

my tow package for both the vehicles that we own is about an extra 7 dollars a month on the insurance. plan ahead always.

You need to have Lynette give me a blowjob and your car should start just fine.

Didn't read the whole thread so I dunno if you got this corrected, but it can be not just the starter, but the ignition switch, or starter solonoid, among other things.
