I think he means the original ending.


(spoilers below incase anyone hasn't seen it yet)....



I think the theater/regular ending is that when he sets fire to the room, the fire fighters bust in and save him in the nick of time. I'm not sure, I've never seen this ending because I downloaded the director's cut of the movie. The ending I saw (which is supposedly the original ending) is that Cusack dies in the room, and at the end you see his spirit in the charred remains of the room, then you hear a voice (his daughter) calling out and he walks off to the voice. According to what I read the test audiences felt it was too much of a downer so they reshot the ending so that he gets saved.

yeah, that movie was cool. but poorly written and short

movie was pretty sick.
