Last night I got a virus and had to reformat my laptop. Then configure my internet settings. Anyway, here I am connected to the internet but I have another laptop connected to the same network and the comp with the router tells me I have an IP address conflict and I've been told this can fuck with my internet.

Sorry that this doesnt really make sense. Any help appreciated.

do any of your computers have an IP set statically? if so, and you don't need it static then change it to acquire an address via DHCP. if it already is static, go into the command prompt and type:

ipconfig /renew

and hit enter.
