The guys who made it, also made Marathon which was not a Doom ripoff, it kicked Dooms ass. The problem was doom was on everything and MArathon was on mac only so no one played it.

Marathon came out a year after Doom. Either way i could care less, fans of the Halo series will go crazy for 3, i don't mind or care. Good for them.

i played and clocked halo 1 and 2. both were mediocre at best.

I havent played any of the Halo games, but ill probably play this one eventually when its cheap or used im not all about it like most though

Are you fucking kidding me? COD 4 is the most repetitive gay butt sex ever. Sam fucking game play over and over again. Halo 3 has more depth in regards to the weapons and vehicles which adds a lot if you are creative and skilled. I am not saying H3 is the end all be all of FPS but the multiplayer beta I tried was hands above the COD 4 beta (which I got bored of in like 4 hours).

I ordered the Limited Edition with the helmet. I have seen videos of it and it is pretty big. I can't fucking wait. That, COD4 and the Orange box. Fucking can't wait until I quit my job and play games all day.
