no, my paternal grandfathers parents died when he was around 8 im told... what transpired from when he was 8 until he turned 13 is a mystery to me, i only know that he was a stowaway on a boat to hawaii when he was 13, at which point he lived with his uncle... my grandfather was born in 1903... am told that my paternal grandmother was born on maui though, she was 15 years his junior... my grandfathers family were farmers while my grandmothers were samurai... not sure when her family emigrated to hawaii though...
