My friend did an amature thai fight but his was underground so I'm not sure if the head gear was mandatory, he didn't wear head gear. In Thailand amature doesn't wear head gear. Hmm... how could I have done muay thai for 4 years and not know a straight answer to question? thaiboxer 09-05-2007, 09:57 PM It depends on the state and or promoter. I've had many amateur thai fights. Some required head gear others didn't. thaiboxer 09-05-2007, 09:58 PM What state will you be competing in? neov11 09-06-2007, 02:14 PM i live in england but im looking to enter golden belt championship or mayby aka just to get ma feet wet thankyou all for ya comments u been great thaiboxer 09-07-2007, 03:56 PM You're welcome and good luck!
