*Thx for the title fix!
Do you guys believe that donations for any candidate should be regulated, to make a even playing field? Or do you think money raised should be left alone.
Less regulations is more freedom IMO

Well I'm on the fence, I support the freedom to give donations. But with how candidates are being bought these days I would almost rather the candidates be governmently funded.

Political donations = buying legislation. I say :banthem: them.

I feel strongly that donations should only come from private U.S. citizens.
Politicians represent who pays them. So if it's lobbyists, companys, defense contractors, and other organizations then their legislation will show it. If it's private U.S. citizens then maybe they will actually represent us like they are legally abliged to.
I also feel there should be a dollar limit for each donation from a person to a politician.
I'd be comfortable with something like $100. limit from citizen to politician. But I'm flexible on the exact amount.
I wouldn't be too sad if all lobbyists had to get real jobs.
Also, I feel kick backs should be illegal. For instance; if a president decided to go to war and gave a huge company no bid contracts to support the war and rebuild after and then after his presidency he was put on the board of directors for that company and paid several million dollars a year, I feel that should be criminal and not business as usual.
