Yeah, I've had it for a year, but I missed 6 mos of training this past year between injuries and having to travel for work. Both are calming down now though and I should be getting my first stripe this week since I just competed in a Blue Belt match and held my own.

U.S. Open pics... i took 2nd, well i took 1st but they gave me the wrong guy in the finals so they gave me a gold medal and a first place certificate... but i was like fuck it dawg lets see who the real champ is so i said i'd fight the guy i was suppoesed to and he beat me


ain't no thing it was my first blue belt tournament and i was giving up like 15 pounds (went 194 but i must have weighed like 180 after breakfast)
all in all i think i did pretty well for a guy who had only been a blue belt for a month

showtime is closed because javier lives in ontario and the drive is too much now that he has a wife and two kids. i mean if there is an emergancy he does not want to drive an hour back home to see his family

so now i train at new breed in santa fe springs. i used to pay 60 dollars a month for unlimited training but i would have to clean the academy for javi. now i can go train with him form time to time for free at millenia jiu jitsu in rancho cucamunga(splg?)

here is a vid of me, i went to watch my friends compete at this tournament, when i got there i was like, "hey, i have some extra cash on me, why the hell not?"

so i signed up and took first and got outstanding grappler. i had to compete at a high weight class cause i didn't really train for this tourny and was out of shape. this is the finals match, the guy was really good, he fucking slammed every dude he went up against and had sick foot locks, and he throws a nice elbow too:uyyy:(watch the 10 second mark)

Did the ref ask you "Who won?" after the match? Because I've done that before while reffing some kids in a wrestling tournament.

yeah his coach thought i crossed my ankles and he went for a foot lock, and he thought that i tapped. i didn't cross them, but his coach still went up and high fived him. the ref was like "wait? who won?"
