U. G. Krishnamurti.
No other, throughout my entire search, have I encountered that is quite like this man. I thought that I would share something with everyone finally. This is his introduction to his works:
"My teaching, if that is the word you want to use, has no copyright. You are free to reproduce, distribute, interpret, misinterpret, distort, garble, do what you like, even claim authorship, without my consent or the permission of anybody."
As I said....very unique.

Enjoy. This man and Alan Watts are the two individuals that I can say have had the most influence on me. I do hope that you enjoy this as much as I have.

I like to read the critics thoughts whenever a new gurus name comes up.
Gurus are always complex beings. When human beings are worshipped by 1000's of followers over an extended period the resulting power, feeling of superiority & alloofness does things to the psyche that average folk cannot know of or relate to..
Gurus who believe they r God or some divine prophet HAVE to be fuelled by meglomania to arrive at such a belief.
Theres so much wisdom in the world that having one guru doesnt make sense to me.
Its wisdom that needs to be cherished, not the person that speaks it.gurus[meglomaniacs] ingeniously & covertly shift the followers focus to the adoration & glorification of themselves.
They use 'good and/or knowledge' for a reason that is not what it appears to the adherent to be.
Heres a critical look at U G.Its good to read critisicism. The truth holds up to criticism so it should only be reinforced by reading criticism..

All is weak compared to what you get in The Disappearance of the Universe, by Gary Renard.
Krishnamurti is about as mind-blowing as a fart in a bathtub by comparison.

Well there are 2 Krishnamurti's. Jiddu Krishnamurti is the one that most people know of and consider a great spritual teacher. Although also considered in high regard, U. G. Krishnamurti has gone on record to say that Jiddu Krishnamurti is fooling himself. So, which Krishnamurti do you mean?

Excellent post. Couldn't have been said any better. I believe in many principles of Christianity but I don't believe Jesus rose from the dead and all this nonsense. Following the 10 commandments is a pretty safe way to live your life though but listening to a preacher judge "infidels" and "sexual perverts" and "demon gays" and all this nonsense is useless.

i never understood why people look outside of themselves for truths about the universe. i can understand that the views of someone might also align with some of the ideas you have had; that you feel connections to ideas that are powerful and help to reveal some things about yourself; you learn new things from experiences unknown to you. but the feeling that you must hear these things from some guru or fountain head in order to validate the ideas and feelings you already have, or that somehow you own life is not enough of a testament to your powers and abilities to succeed is just garbage to me.
i feel enlightened whenever i bust a nut, eat something delicious, exercise for a long period, help a stranger, speak a truth that i once lied about, see something that moves me deeply or SERIOUSLY think about ways of improving my life from its current condition.
and if your already on it (the aforementioned 1-7) then you already know what it is.
and whether you know it or not your doing one of these things or something like one of these things EVERYDAY OF YOUR NATURAL LIFE, the more energy that you put into any of these one things may very well determine the conditions of your natural life and that karma (or cosmic energy if you will) WILL guide you through your course of life....

Same here, but I like to read threads and have glanced at this "guru's" site and will again. I'm always seeking answers to questions that have no answers - or not as they would apply to EVERYONE, only me.

I have religous type beliefs or superstitious beliefs that I believe are the result of being indoctrinated at Sunday school and religion at school as a child.
most people want to believe in something that rewards the good and punishes the evil in the afterlife, its just human nature, and particularly those who are weak and cant stand up for themselves...
so when a so called authoritive source such as jesus or muhammad comes along and seemingly validates this it aligns with what one wants to believe or instinctively believes is true, right and just and it becomes much easier to believe.
the secure group feeling of being surrounded by those all in agreeance just further serves to valiate those hopes.
the resulting feelgood 'high' and satisfaction of believing such reliigous doctrines further serves to allow to one overlook anything that invalidates or interrupts this 'high',no matter how correct or logical it may be.Religous zealots inevitably become blind to commonsense and objective thinking, they learn to subconsciously govern their thoughts to keep their hopes and the accompanying 'high' alive and well.
The irony is that this diminishment of logical thought is interpreted by them as enlightenment and spiritual development.
