what i recommend is pulling out the engine, dropping in a 427 cobra jet, and running the exhaust straight to side oilers from the headers.

Go to an exhaust shop tell them you will pay cash for system with out a cat.

It works. Go with 2.5 inch piping and a nice muffler whole thing will be 300 bucks.

Same way here. The police really don't care if you're loud as long as your not street-racing.

When I first built my Camaro (383ci stroker),I run it for about a week with open 3" collector headers...Even I couldn't take it, plus it impressed the guys, but turned da' bitches off.

Yeah im runnin straights right off the headers. But I know cant compare to that. People can't barely even talk in my car. Sometimes I wish I never did it.

I doubt you have headers...Exhaust manifold is more likely.
