Exactly what the thread is titled.
What is the worst movie that everyone, casual moviegoers and respected critics alike, love. And what is the best movie they all hate?

I can't imagine boondock saints was well received critically.

I can't say I pay much attention to many critics but I'd imagine some critics would have looked favourably upon Transformers and 300 and they are both liked by the casual cinema fan.
I thought they weren't good at all.
300 has an interesting style but the content was not good.
I'd put Titanic in the mix aswell.

Boondock Saints was panned by critics when released, but since has a developed a strong following on DVD by fans. Alot people i know love the film

I agree with 300, but i kinda liked Transformers.

Four Brothers, Batman Begins, The Simpsons Movie, and Live Free or Die Hard, are all films that i thought just plain sucked, or are just way over-rated. Simpsons and Die Hard 4 were okay, but jeesh people act like they're fucking epic.

Four Brothers and Batman Begins just sucked, shitty acting, shity characters from both films.

Four brothers was indeed an epic of awfulness.
I'll disagree with the Batman assessment. I quite liked it, my only gripe with it was at the beginning where he goes to a chinese jail. From then on it goes from awesome to awesomer.

I can't even begin to comment on how dissapointing Batman Begins was to me. Insane amount of hype from people who never even liked Batman comics and movies to begin with saying how accurate and awesome this incarnation of Batman is.
I understand the reboot of the series thus resulting in the heavy background explanation of the story and character(s), but it was more boring and unoriginal than dark and moody.

To be fair though i've only seen it twice and when watching it i was in a very shitty mood, lol.

hmm, well then I'll have to change my #1.

But I'll stick with Roadhouse - that movie was awesome yet everyoen hates it.

Hulk and Jarhead are movies that i really like, but they get bashed constantly when mentioned by fans and critics alike.

I really enjoyed lady in the water, I don't understand how the critics gave it such horrible reviews.

I dislike the sixth sense, that movie is sorta lame especially withthe hype train that was rolling for it.

funny how they were both made by M. Night.

*I also really enjoyed the village and unbreakable by him as well.

omfg henry, that av has looked familiar to me since you started using it but I couldn't figure out where I know it from and it just hit me. I used to watch that movie when I was younger and they had it on showtime all the time. *reps henjes*

so I never listen to critics but I listen to friends, family and you guys and I'd have to say for worst movie everyone loves, I spit on your grave. for so long I heard about how great it was and how I "had to see it" and so when I found it at best buy for like $10 I bought it thinking "hey, everyone says its awesome" and I was extremely disappointed. I actually can't think of a good movie everyone hates right now so I'll come back to it.
