Im going to be a senior in high school and i cant decided what to do, continue wrestling(it would only be my second year) or do jujitsu.

Why not put a second year into wrestling and then do jiu jitsu when you are done? After this year your opportunities for wrestling will be smaller and your opportunities for jiu jitsu will be the same.

agreed.... work one more year on your wrestling and i can prmoise you're jiujitsu will get better faster

I agree with those two guys.

Another year of wrestling will be free and you'll have plenty of competition.

After that you can worry about paying for BJJ and paying for tournaments and competitions.

I haven't wrestled in 17 years and guys in my BJJ class still tell me they can tell I used to wrestle and give me compliments on it.

do any of u guys train right now?I wrestled freestyle before HS and then was on the JV team in HS my freshman year.

Took a long time off and am now one of the new guys in BJJ.

Those other guys do train and have been training for longer than me.

i wrestled my whole life its definately better to start out with then goto bjj...opportunities for wrestling will go down after u graduate...

i would say wrestling take bjj after. i had a great advantage starting bjj after my two years as a wrestler. also i would say that if you can doi both if not then wrestling. because it gives you great scrable ability and take downs and defence. a guy could have the best bjj in the world if you cant get the fight to the mat its pointless wrestling gives you that edge.

The more wrestling you can get the better, even some of the best JJ guys suck with the takedowns. Been wrestling forever, its the best fucken thing ever!

Don't get caught in giullotines trying to double leg people tho lol...
