Hard to say how to beat a guy who has been boxing so long and still hasn't been beat.

I think Castillo set a possible blueprint and showed the Floyd could have trouble with bodypunching, pressure fighters. I think the popular opinion is that Floyd's worst enemy would be a guy like Hatton or Cotto.

I'm of the opinion that Floyd would have more trouble with a fellow speedster/slickster. Look at the problems Zab Judah presented him. Floyd has gone through his whole career getting used to guys trying to pressure him and land the big shot. He isn't used to another speedy slickster trying to outpoint him. I'd love to see Floyd against Cory Spinks, that would be one hell of a test for FLoyd IMO.

I think Paul Williams would be the ideal guy to beat Floyd. Tall and with a good jab, because a jab is what neutralized speed, not bodypunching or pressure. Paul got the reach, jab, and the punch output to be a tough night for Floyd or anyone else

Floyd will never fight Paul the punisher for the same reason he wouldn't fight Margarito, hes too tall and too big.

As for another fighter of Floyd's size Bean is right about the blueprint Castillo set. Pressure and bodywork. A pure speedster won't give Floyd enough problems because Floyd is faster and better, but a pressure fighter, with fast hands, that likes to hurt the body will give Floyd trouble. (Hatton)

I read that Mayweather has said his toughest fight was against Emmanual Augustus.Now,I haven't dl'd the fight yet,but I've seen Augustus fight a bunch.He's not really a slickster although he can avoid shots as good as anyone.The only thing special Augustus really does is throw punches in bunches that are accurate.He doesn't have much power he's just a smart fighter.

That being said,Paul Williams could probably beat Mayweather bc he's pretty talented and can make up for his mistakes with his size.It would be hard for Mayweather to get in and out.But it makes no sense for the Pretty Boy to fight him bc he's not as well known as some other prospective fighters.

Whoever said that Mayweather's toughest fight was agaisnt Augustus is full of shit. Don't get me wrong Emmanual made a great fight of it and did way better than anyone (including mayweather) thought he would, but the reality is he didn't win a round.

Mayweather was coming off a layoff where he was concentrating on his rap label, and figured Emmanual would be a good tune-up fight for Corrales. Floyd took em lightly and Augustus came to fight, but Augustus took a beating.

But so many guys have tried this and gotten murdered as well. Its like Roy Jones in his prime, people saw him win 12 round decisions over cautious guys and said "damn if you just throw a lot of punches and pressure him he wont be able to stand it", then a guy would come out reckless and pressure him and get knocked out in 2 or 3 rounds.
