I installed a antivirus program and had problems with it. Now when I try to uninstall it I get an error message saying that part of the application is still running. Any advice on how to uninstall this would be appreciated.

this may seem like a dumb question but have you tried to restart your computer?
when a program malfunctions sometimes it doesn't close itself properly.
trying to restart might prompt a message about the non responsive program giving you the option to end it.

I restarted it with no luck. I found an uninstaller program hopefully that will work.

Try to shut down the process from task manager.

i had this problem with a video that was pornographic in nature and it ate up 99% of my CPU Usage so I downloaded this Unlocker program and it works like a charm. It deletes files, it moves files, it cuts files, and it's free

I haven't had any problems with it so maybe give it a shot.

Run in safe mode, then uninstall.

Run in safe mode, then uninstall.

This is exactly what I had to do. I ran it in safe mode, unchecked the process that would not let me uninstall, rebooted, uninstalled program, switched back to standard operating mode and rebooted once more.

*Thanks to everyone for taking time with this.
