- As posted in the SmackDown spoiler report, Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero was made by Vickie Guerrero for SummerSlam. Also made official for SummerSlam is Batista vs. The Great Khali in a World Heavyweight title match. It also looks like we may see another MVP/Matt Hardy match and a Hornswoggle/Noble match.
In other news from the tapings, it was announced at the beginning of SmackDown that the wedding of Kristal and Teddy Long will air on 9/21. That edition of SmackDown will tape on 9/18 at the SD/ECW show in Atlanta, GA.
- The updated SummerSlam card looks like this:
*The Great Khali vs. Batista in a World Heavyweight Title match
*Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero
*John Cena vs. Randy Orton in a WWE Title match
*The return of Triple H, possibly against King Booker
Two other rumored matches are John Morrison vs. CM Punk and Matt Hardy vs. MVP.
