He was an amatuear boxer at 15, and he was training to become a pro boxer, but he said that he put heart into kickboxing more than boxing..

The guy has some of the sickest Ko's in K-1, and has more power than alot of other pro boxers at his weight. But even though Zambo relies on countering the low kick for his overhand right, I think he could transition his stance, and style to boxing quite well..

He has IMO the best hands in K-1, just cause of his boxing background.

Thoughts?

Who knows, its an entirely different thing and it takes more than being able to punch hard to succeed in boxing. I've never seen him in a boxing match so I can't really say. He has real good power though, thats a plus for him.

I think with his compact crisp style he could have been something special, as Beaner said though, I dont even really know if the guy can take a real boxers punches
Zambo uses kicks alot more these days, when he first made it big he was practicly just a hard puncher, he just threw overhand rights and that was it, absolutely no uppercuts or anything like that

His counterpuncing, and accuracy is pretty damn amazing..
He's so compact, and fast as well.

He has all the physical tools that you would look for, then again I haven't seen him box against anyone worth a damn.

His explosiveness would be instrumental in his success.
