I thought it might be a cool idea to have a thread where people could post their reviews of the various equipment they use/have used to help out fellow practitioners. Nothing major, maybe just some + and - and maybe price point. I am especially interested in any MT equipment reviews.

Twins Gloves: Best I've used so far. Velcro straps for easy changeover during drills. Good solid construction. Attached thumb. Nice grip inside. The palm side insides have no layers so you're gripping the leather. Much better than my Everlast gloves with their satin lining. Feels slippery and like you aren't gripping the glove solidly.

Combat sports shinpads: Got them for my fight. I like the thinner padding and neoprene sleeve gives good overall fit and the don't twist like my everlast ones when checking kicks etc... For sparring I don't use them though. Prefer the extra padding on the everlast ones and the ease of removal before and after sparring. People complain about my shins...so I humor them with the thicker padding.

Pug cup: A cup. No different than the white one. bigger than standard athletic cup for bladder-shot protection.

Red Gloves: 16 oz Everlast. Velcro attachment for same reason as above. My original pair of sparring gloves. Still in good shape, but I don't like the satin lining on the palm side of the inside. Feels slippery especially when sweating. Purely a comfort thing. They are still perfectly functional.

Blue Gloves: 12 oz Everlast. Bag gloves primarily. Same as above, except early on the satin lining I mentioned above tore in the thumb area, so it feels completely fucked to wear them. Retired and now the red Everlasts are my bag gloves and the Twins are my sparring gloves.

Shin Pads: Also everlast. Velcro straps make for much easier on and off than the neoprene sleeve of the combat sports ones, so they are my sparring shinpads. Also have thicker padding, which makes the complainers in class happy.

Cup: A cup. Same as above.

No problem. I also have everlast handwraps, combat sports handwraps, harbinger mma bag gloves, and everlast mma bag gloves. I like the MMA gloves because they're easy to function with in between drills. Starting and stopping the clock, recording numbers on certain drills on our dry erase board, etc...
